Founded in 1978, SEM was originally doing business in the change machines. In the mid eighties, we started our steady growth as a manufacturer with our first coin-op systems for photocopiers.
In 1988, we broke new grounds with our new electronic controllers designed to retrofit older style vending machines and bring them to a higher level of efficiency and reliability.
In the 1990's, we introduced a new family of products for cash and card payments, new generation of coin-op devices for copiers, new vending machines controllers, access systems and timers for laundromats and computer stations, custom-made electronic boards for other manufacturers and much more. Strong from a full family of products, we made our fist steps south of the border on the American market. As a new member of the NAMA family, we made our first appearance at the Annual Trade Show in Washington D.C. with a new and impressive product: The CT2 Vending Tester. This product really made its way successfully thanks to a carefully-selected network of distributors.
The first decade of the new millennium was until now, the most active in terms of evolution of all our platforms offering a strong capability in terms of evolution into an ever-changing world. Many years of R&D have led us into the development of new products such as our software solutions (U-Gold) and our new X6 platform (9900X, KTX6, X6T) equipped with network communication port. We see the future with great optimism always eager to surpass the expectation of our precious customers.
