SEM is currently looking for an experienced programmer to join our software development team.

The job consists of 3 aspects.

First, under the supervision of the project manager, the candidate will work in the Visual Studio environment to continue development of a software in C#. This is the main task of this job.

Then, the candidate will have, as an occasional task, to offer technical support on our softwares. From time to time, there will be on-site installations and technical support over the phone.

Finally, the candidate will take on various other projects on embedded platforms (Microchip PIC in C language) to help improve existing products and/or fix problems.

Essential competencies

• Excellent knowledge of the C# language
• Excellent knowledge of the .NET platform
• At ease with SQL databases (PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL)
• Good understanding of TCP/IP communications, sever/client model and .NET remoting
• Comfortable with managed source code (SVN)

Additional desired competencies

• C language for embedded platforms Microchip PIC
• Good knowledge of Linux (Debian, OpenEmbedded), Qt
• NSIS distribution kits

Desired skills

Autonomous, resourceful with a good logical skills and problem solving abilities.

Good at finding bugs in complex programs, ability to understand large projets already in production and integrate within it.

This job is full time, permanent. The salary will be discussed during interviews, depending on the experience and qualifications of the candidate.
